Written in plain terms for lay readers by certified electrologist and medical laser technician Laura M. Regan, Winning the Battle Against Unwanted Hair Growth is far more than cosmetic guide - in addition to weighing the pros and cons of different hair removal methods, Regan also explores hormonal imbalance and other serious health problems that can cause excessive hair growth in women, and stresses that removing the hair itself is not as important as identifying such conditions (if one is present) and receiving proper treatment. Of course, the natural hormonal changes caused by menopause or other factors can lead to excess unwanted hair as well. Winning the Battle Against Unwanted Hair Growth is not just for women; men can also have extreme unwanted hair growth, and a chapter is devoted especially to men in this unfortunate situation. Packed with no-nonsense information about hair removal methods ranging from shaving to depilatories to electrolysis and more, Winning the Battle Against Unwanted Hair Growth is highly recommended as a first-rate, professional’s-eye-view of its subject.

I have suffered for many years from excessive hair growth. I purchased this book to not only figure out how to get rid of the hair growth, but also to find out WHY I have this problem. I finally have solutions to my problem. I am very thankful it was written in language I can understand. I have since shared this book with close friends that I know would appreciate it. Hair growth, especially in women is something many women don’t want to talk about - but this book takes out the taboo. THANK YOU!

Whoever edited this book did a horrible job. Some of the testimonials were placed in twice, and you would see mistakes of repetitiveness. You can see the marginal and text area errors as well. It sticks out that bad. The pictures in the book are not good enough to be seen for before and afters. I am not sure if this person is a real person… let alone had a real companies that she is CEO/CFO for. Her websites don’t even work at all. The publisher of the book doesn’t exist either. I will not recommend this book to anyone. Period.
