Has anyone ever tried electrolysis AND laser hair removal?

If so, wich works better? Please list your skin color, hair color, etc.

Light skin and medium brown hair.

Electrolysis was great….it’s kind of like 30 sessions of a woodpecker driving its beak into you. The electrologist also told me their was a risk of scarring that may take time to reveal itself.

Laser hair removal hurt far less and was much faster. I am also hair free 6 years after treatment. Just make sure you go to someone good and that you don’t tan 3-7 days before treatment.

Nope. Just buy that cream that makes your hair fall of in a sec…

However, I heard of this procedure. I suppose it is a valid method.

First of all a very dark skin color makes your skin absorb too much radiation. Not good.
Then the hair must be definitely darker than your skin.
    That’s just about it.

Note RESULTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED. May grow back faster than you think.

Just use that cream I told you about. I USED IT !!! And it works very good.

I have been receiving laser treatments for my chin and around my face for about almost a year. I have medium dark skin and dark hair. I seems to be successful, since I have noticed that my facial hair seems to be not as thick as it once was, and I am getting bald spots in the places there was hair. I had very thick face hair:( and it is working. Only thing is if you have very light hair it won’t work for you. If you have dark skin and hair, you will have trouble too. You will have to go to treatments longer and pay more. It’s worth it though to me:)

Yes, I’ve tried both. I tried the laser first but it didn’t work for me. I am now having electrolysis done and it’s working but I’ve been going once a week for four months. I’ve done some research on permanent hair removal and found out that electrolysis is the only one that is permanent, with the others your hair can grown back. I think with laser if the hair growth is from of a hormone imbalance or if your hair is very light in color it doesn’t work as well. I guess that’s why it didn’t work for me. I have fair skin and very light hair (almost white). I hope this has helped you.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
