hey, i was wondering if there was anyway to make body hair stop growing back w/o using laser hair removal.
thanks!

From my understanding Nads (seriously, that’s what it’s called) will EVENTUALLY make it stop.

It’s like waxing, only it’s all natural. It was developed by a mother for her (hairy) daughter-Natalie (hence the name)-using things from her kitchen. It used to be on info-mercials all the time. I haven’t seen it lately though. You can find recipes to make your own though. Google Nads+recipe.

Is it possible to have hair thinned with laser hair removal?

Posted by admin On October - 14 - 2009

Hi,

I’m wondering if anyone knows if it is suggested/doable to have hair thinned via laser hair removal.
I have quite hairy legs, like Robin Williams hairy, I think it looks unkempt and it really hides my well defined leg muscles. I would really like a reduction of about 50% - 65% of the hair on my legs.
Is this possible and does it work well? Also if this is possible does anyone know how much it would cost?
Any advise on the subject would be appreciated!

Yes laser will thin the hairs and make them lighter, I have it done so I know. But it can also result in patchy hair so you have to be careful in that regard. If I were you I would see about getting maybe only 2 or 3 sessions.

are there any good hair removal products for men?

Posted by admin On October - 14 - 2009

women and men have different hair types. Women have hair that is fairly thin and easy to remove. That’s why you see all these hair removal products for women. You don’t really see any products for men, but are there any out there? I have problem hair on different parts of my body, and i wanna get rid of some of it. There are products that remove hair at the root, like epilators, where it takes a while to grow back. There are electrolysis pens that remove hair, sometimes permanently, and other times the hair grows back thinner, and easier to remove with epilators.

Anyone wanna suggest something for a guy like myself to use?

Wax. That’s the only thing I can think of.

But how about having something like Veet for our faces? I once wrote to the makers of Veet and they said to not use Veet… but if there were a Veet for mens faces, I would get it… I hate shaving.

…. and maybee my lip area but all i know is that you have to be light skin with dark hair.Have any of you had it done and what advise can you give me please.
*Does it scar
*How bad does it hurt:
*How much $
***How effective is it
*Laser vs electrolisis?

I am actually right now getting 3 areas on my body done, my upperlip, underarms and some facial hair. So to answer your first question:
NO, it does not leave any scars
NO, it does not hurt, you might feel like a zappy feeling for half a second but its only in the sensitive area like my underarms.
IT could be expensive depending on where you go. I deal with this company called NEOSKIN (look it up, they are awesome) and the way that it works is that you pay for 12 sessions because depending on your skin types it varies how many sessions you need. Most peoples need like around 7-8 sessions before the hair is permanently removed. But this company always has speacials going on, like 50% OFF, get 2 areas and get the third area free.
YES it is very effective.
Electrolysis is permanent hair removal that should always be performed by someone with considerable training and skill. This procedure involves several steps. To begin, a hair-thin metal probe will be carefully slid in to a hair follicle, with out puncturing the skin. After this probe is inserted, the procedure that has been decided upon will occur. There are three procedures to consider: Galvanic, Thermolysis and Blend. Galvanic electrolysis involves the salt and water in the skin around the follicle penetrated by the probe to be chemically altered to produce lye. This lye can damage the cells causing hair growth if enough of it is produced. Another procedure is called Thermolysis and this works by manipulating the water molecules surrounding the probe to vibrate, causing heat, and if enough of this heat is generated, the cells causing hair growth will be damaged. The third procedure is known as Blend and is a combination of the two previous procedures. This utilizes the theory that lye will perform better if heated, thus the two procedures are combined. This procedure is the most recommended of the three. There are definite advantages as well as disadvantages to this procedure. The advantages are that electrolysis has been preformed the longest and has the best results to date. It has over 125 years of clinically proven safety and effectiveness. Disadvantages are cost, pain, the procedure is tedious, so it is time-consuming and large amounts of hair can cause difficulties. The procedure must be done correctly or partial to full regrowth can occur, skin damage or infection can occur.Another disadvantage is the regulation of these procedures by the government, this regulation varies by state, so there is no constant standard to ensure competency among practitioners. The last disadvantages are that some people, generally between 7and 10%, do not respond to the treatment.

I HOPE THIS ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION
